The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the RECOVERY project of Victor and Olena Pinchuk have agreed to partner. The cooperation will involve the reconstruction of the largest rehabilitation center for military personnel in one of Ukraine’s regions.
“Today, we have made another step towards creating a modern system of rehabilitation for military personnel. I hope that cooperation with charitable organizations will expand and as many men and women as possible will return to the Armed Forces or home healthy,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova.
The location of the future project is not disclosed for security reasons. The facility will be able to provide assistance to more than 100 defenders at a time.
“As part of the partnership, we plan to launch one of the most powerful rehabilitation centers of the RECOVERY network, a project founded and implemented by Victor and Olena Pinchuk. The new center will be created according to the world standards of inclusiveness and technology, like all the centers of the network. In terms of the number of beds, it will have no analogues,” says Svitlana Grytsenko, Member of the Board, Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
To date, 8 RECOVERY rehabilitation centers are already providing free services in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Odesa (two facilities) and Dnipro region (two facilities). In total, more than 5 000 patients have already received rehabilitation assistance in the centers of the national network.
