The cooperation will see the creation of an innovative rehabilitation centre for Ukraine’s defenders who have been wounded in the war. The state-of-the-art RECOVERY centre will be built in accordance with international standards of technology and inclusiveness on the basis of one of the key Kyiv medical institutions subordinated to the Ministry. Every year, more than a thousand servicemen and women will be able to receive free medical care there.
“The signing of the memorandum of cooperation between the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s national network RECOVERY and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is another step in supporting the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, as well as a starting point for the creation of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre for wounded soldiers,” said project manager and member of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s Board of Directors Svitlana Hrytsenko.
Today, 12 RECOVERY rehabilitation centres provide free services in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Khmelnytsky, Odesa (2 centres) and Dnipro region (3 centres). It is the largest network of rehabilitation centres for the military in Ukraine. More than 9,000 patients have already received free and high-quality rehabilitation care at RECOVERY centres.
